Elder Abuse

Unfortunately, elder abuse is common. 1 in 10 people aged 60 and older who live at home experience abuse, including neglect and exploitation.

Elder abuse is an intentional act or failure to act that causes or creates a risk of harm to an older adult. An older adult is someone 60 years of age or older. Caregivers or a person the elder trusts are often the abusers.
